Front Row Motorsports and Belmont Abbey College NASCAR Kinetics Team Partner to Allow Fans to Have Their Name Appear on No. 38 Car
CONCORD, N.C. (April 12, 2012) - Front Row Motorsports and the Belmont Abbey College NASCAR Kinetics Team are giving fans the unique opportunity to have their names displayed on David Gilliland's No. 38 Ford Fusion. All fans who attend the school's NASCAR Race Viewing Party on Saturday, April 14, will be able to have their name placed on the decklid of the No. 38 car the following weekend at Kansas. The decklid will also feature the respective logos of Belmont Abbey College and the NASCAR Kinetics: Marketing in Motion Program.
"A group of Belmont Abbey students approached us with the idea to place event attendees' names on one of our cars to draw attendance to their NASCAR Race Viewing Party," said Front Row Motorsports Chief Marketing Officer Robin Johnson. "We really liked the concept. It coincides well with our goal of differentiating ourselves through innovation. The NASCAR Kinetics program is very comprehensive and allows college students to gain practical working knowledge of real-life scenarios. I couldn't think of a better platform to prepare the next generation of industry leaders."
The viewing party is Saturday, April 14, at the NASCAR Speedpark in Concord. For the discounted price of $11.99, race fans will receive access to unlimited go-kart racing, mini golf, laser tag and rock wall climbing - in addition to watching all the action of the Samsung Mobile 500 from Texas Motor Speedway.
The event will also feature trivia, door prizes and an award for the Most Spirited Fan. Tickets to the North Carolina Education Lottery 200, LiftMaster Pole Day and the History 300 are just some of the great prizes attendees will have the opportunity to win..
NASCAR Kinetics is a semester-long competition featuring 18 schools from across the country. Teams of five from each participating school are required to complete two case studies and host a race viewing party. This is Belmont Abbey's inaugural semester in the program. So far, the school has received the results from one case study, where they placed second in the country. The team's second case study is currently being reviewed by NASCAR. The winning school will be awarded an all-expense paid trip to the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race in May.
