The Chase for the Sprint Cup continues at Dover International Speedway this weekend as NASCAR takes to the "Monster Mile."  The teams had two practice sessions on a partly sunny Friday, with Travis Kvapil and the No. 55 team finding the most speed of the Front Row Motorsports entries, finishing fifth in the final practice.

The "monster" reared its head for J.J. Yeley and the No. 38 "Drive Sober, Arrive Alive" Ford team in the first practice.  Yeley made contact with the wall early in the session, forcing the team to switch to their back-up car, but still ran 21st in the second session.  David Gilliland and the No. 34 team worked through multiple set-ups over the course of the day, spending some time in the top 10 in the first session before eventually finishing 36th in final practice.

Saturday brought cooler temperatures for the early-afternoon qualifying session.  Yeley and Kvapil both rolled out needing to qualify for the race on speed.  Both ran their laps toward the beginning of the session, taking care of business early as they both had enough speed to make the starting line-up for Sunday's race.  Kvapil qualified 32nd, Gilliland 36th and Yeley 43rd.

Martin Truex Jr. earned the pole for Sunday's race, bumping Kurt Busch, who will start second. Mike Skinner was the lone entry who failed to make the race.

ESPN will broadcast Sunday's AAA 400, with race coverage beginning at 2 p.m. ET.

Comments from No. 34 Front Row Motorsports team driver David Gilliland after qualifying at Dover:

"In qualifying we were a little too loose across center.  This place always seems to free up when it gets cooler outside.  And we had tightened it up, but probably just not quite enough.  We kind of got off sync yesterday with some of our adjustments, so we came back and threw a bunch of different stuff at it, and it went faster and the car drove better than it did yesterday, but we've still got a little bit of work to do.  But we definitely took a step in the right direction."

Comments from No. 38 "Driver Sober, Arrive Alive" Ford team driver J.J. Yeley after qualifying at Dover:

"It feels good to know we're in, especially after all the hard work I made the guys go through yesterday in getting in the fence in first practice. The back-up car seemed to be a pretty decent car and we didn't do much race trim with it - we did all qualifying runs. We're just trying to get the balance where it needs to be. It's still pretty tight trying to roll through the center. We'll continue to work on it. I think the package that we started with in race trim was really good, before we hit the fence, so I think we'll go back to that direction and we'll have a good 'Drive Sober, Arrive Alive' Ford Fusion for Sunday's race."

Comments from No. 55 Front Row Motorsports Ford team driver Travis Kvapil after qualifying at Dover:

"Our car off the truck yesterday was really loose. And the guys on the 55 team just did a great job making good adjustments. It seemed like we picked up in every run yesterday in practice and just got the car better. It's tough when you come here and you feel like you gave it all you could yesterday, and the times are a half a second faster, but we got a good solid lap. I'm proud of everybody, especially the 38 bunch. They worked really hard this weekend, too."
