For only the second time in Chase history, a driver has won the first two races of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series playoffs.  Tony Stewart, a two-time champion, scored his second consecutive win during Sunday's Sylvania 300 at the one-mile New Hampshire Motor Speedway after Clint Bowyer ran out of gas with less than three laps left.  The win gave Stewart the points lead heading into Dover next weekend.

David Gilliland and the No. 34 Front Row Motorpsorts team were looking for a good run on Sunday at a track where the organization has had strong results.  Unfortunately, track position didn't allow the team to gain positions after suffering a tight-handling car early in the race.  Instead, Gilliland and his crew made adjustments all day and raced to a 32nd finishing position.

Comments from Front Row Motorsports Ford driver David Gilliland after New Hampshire:

"We thought we had a better chance today. I had problems getting out of second gear and the track was just really slick. There was no grip and it was hard to gain any spots.  Some of the best teams out there couldn't gain positions if they fell back.  We just lost the track position game early and couldn't make it up."

Starting Position: 32

Finishing Position: 27

J.J. Yeley and the No. 38 Long John Silver's Ford team were able to stay on the lead lap for the majority of the day before coming home a strong 27th on Sunday.  On a traditionally good track for Yeley, he wheeled the No. 38 against the leaders all afternoon before losing two laps late in the race.

Yeley had a fast car, but lost one lap early in the race because of a long run and poor track position to start the race.  Yeley, however, was told to take the "wave around' to get his lap back during the first caution.  He was off sequence, but eventually earned the free pass on a Lap-174 caution.  He then raced with the leaders before eventually losing laps late in the race.  The team still held off competitors from teams like Michael Waltrip Racing, Richard Petty Motorsports and more to finish 27th.

Comments from Long John Silver's Ford team driver J.J. Yeley after New Hampshire:

"Yeah, we were up there all day until the end.  It's tough to gain track position, but we did a good job of staying on the lead lap for most of the race.  The car wasn't bad, but once we got the free pass we were in the back of the field.  It's hard to move up without cautions to help the car, too.  But, it wasn't bad and hopefully we can get a bit better at Dover."
