Personal Empowerment &
Leadership for Youth Trainers' Training

This six-session trainer's training will be an opportunity to think, re-think, re-learn, and push others to recognize true self-advocacy and empowerment. The series is specifically geared towards work with youth that are planning for their transition from school to adult life. Throughout each session, we will explore ways to reach out to assist young folks and those who support them to believe in possibilities, create new futures, and take action and meaningful steps towards that new life. All applicants MUST complete a self-assessment form prior to being accepted for participation in this seminar and commit to all five days of the seminar. (NO EXCEPTIONS).

Philadelphia Transition Planning Project
Facilitators: Jill Gromen & Julia Barol (Networks) Date: February 2012
This project continues in its sixth year of re-energizing team planning efforts by providing Supports Coordinators and team members with practical strategies and skills to facilitate meaningful and inclusive planning for post-school outcomes as students transition from high school to adult life. Interested teams will take part in a two and a half day workshop packed with activities intended to brainstorm and explore employment opportunities and career directions.
