Introduction to Adobe Photoshop ® or Photoshop Elements ® 

This class is for anyone who wants to learn the basics of using this less-than user-friendly software. Adobe's Photoshop or Photoshop Elements is a wonderful program with many powerful features that will allow you to bring your digital images, from less than perfect, to an amazing level. In this class you'll learn about making basic adjustments to your photos for printing, email, or web use.

You'll learn to easily, brighten dark exposures, adjust contrast, re-size and crop your images and much more. This is ideal software for converting your images into, beautiful and dynamic, black and white photographs as well as creating an artistic composite or photo-montage. You'll also learn to make selections, use adjustment layers, and layer masks, to take detailed control of your images, to get the results you want. All by using easy non-destructive techniques.  The possibilities are only limited by the imagination. So get started on learning to use the many tools available to you that are designed especially for processing your digital images.  

There will be a need to spend time on practice tutorials outside of class. It is important to practice newly learned techniques to reinforce your comprehension of this material.

Students may bring their computer with Photoshop/Photoshop Elements loaded, but this is not required.
