Congratulations to Crystal Puhrmann, winner of the fifth annual Andy Arrants Memorial Scholarship. Mr. and Mrs. Arrants, as well as Andy's sister, Jenna, were on hand to deliver the check, which pays for Crystal's supply kit. A big thank you goes to the Arrants family for providing this scholarship to our students every year, and a hearty pat on the back to Crystal! |
Featured Projects: Extreme Boards
Second-year students are challenged with designing graphics for extreme sports boards (skateboards, snowboards, surfboards, etc.) and then designing a magazine advertisement to accompany the boards. This assignment has been one of the students' favorites for years, and it shows in their creative solutions!

What does the company do? Sandhills Publishing is an information processing company. Our diverse range of products includes trade publications, as well as consumer computer magazines.
What does the graduate do? I'm a senior designer who leads the design team on two national publications from start to finish. I mostly work in InDesign and print, but I also see the publication transferred to other media such as our new digital editions on the iPad and the Web. |
