Graduate
of the Month
Isaac Hinds
Isaac Hinds, 1998 graduate

Owner, Creative Director and Editor at LIFT Studios and Hardbody
in Denver, CO

www.liftstudios.com and www.hardbody.com

High School:
Elk Point High School in Elk Point, SD

What does the company do? Lift Studios: Photography, fitness consulting and video. Hardbody: Website devoted to female sports, health and fitness.

What does the graduate do?
I do it all - from Isaac Hinds books to administration to shooting and editing. For Hardbody, I design, write and edit the site. It's expanding into clothing and mobile applications. I work with some of the top athletes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to cover models on fitness magazines. Every day is different.

Clients: FLEX Magazine; Muscle & Fitness; Columnist and Staff Photographer for: Muscle & Fitness HERS; Muscle Milk; MuscleTech; Six Star Nutrition and MetRX.

Additional Comments: I've gone from an art director intern at Bozell to a small company as an interactive creative director in Denver. I started my own business in 2003 and while it's a lot of work, I wouldn't have it any other way. You have to evolve and adapt to survive in an ever-changing world.

From the DirectorKim Guyer
I'm not sure that my brain believes that it's summer. I'm not so sure that the weather has made a decision yet either! Nevertheless, my flowers are planted and my children are home and already restless. Here's to a summer of relaxation and renewal to everyone.

Art Teachers, be sure to register for our Professional Development seminar. It's a fabulous opportunity to learn new illustration techniques that both you and your students will enjoy.

High school seniors, let us know if you are interested in pursuing a career in graphic design and advertising. Classes for next year start on August 6, 2012.

Sincerely,
