Graduation 2011

The class of 2011 will graduate on June 4, 2011, at Lifegate Church at 156 and West Dodge Road.

Students must arrive by 9:30 for a walk-through and distribution of caps and gowns.

Doors open at 10:00 and the ceremony will begin at 10:30.

We will take pictures after the event; parents are welcome to take pictures at that time as well.

Throughout the school year, instructors and area professionals work together to show students all the different working environments that exist within the design and advertising industry. Students tour multiple facilities in addition to the plethora of guest speakers that come to the college to explain their work. Featured Project: Editorial Spreads  

 

In their first year, students are tasked with creating a two-page spread on a celebrity or historical figure. Students must creatively integrate a headline, subhead and body copy with a focus on typography. For an added challenge, limitations are placed on the assignment; students can incorporate only two fonts and only two images.

Aaah, summer. Children shriek in glee, parents wince in anticipation, and teachers sigh in relaxation. Here's to an exceptionally relaxing summer for all our hard-working faculty and staff; I wish you a renewal in energy and spirit for the upcoming school year.
