Road Trip 2010!
First-year Creative Center students had the opportunity to travel via chartered bus to Kansas City last week for the entire day.
First visit was to Barkley, a large advertising agency, where students were able to gain insight into how an advertising agency works and the qualifications needed in order to be employed by one. Barkley provides services for clients such as Sonic Drive-In, 24 Hour Fitness, Lee Jeans, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Coventry Healthcare, and Helzberg Diamonds.

The next stop was Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, which provided an excellent opportunity to put newly-learned art history to the test. The museum displays work by famous artists such as Monet, Gaugin, Pollock, and Rembrandt as well as various sculpture, fabric and decorative arts.
It was a long day, but a good one (and very educational)!
