You Should Come
AmandaCalebMcD
Every year at the end of our high school commencement program people say to me, "Every CFS parent should attend the CFS graduation ceremony."  Why do they say this?  Because they are so enthused and encouraged by the program they just experienced, which was  personal, uplifting, and truely interesting. They genuinely felt the presence of God and His pleasure.  And, they heard about and saw the faithfulness of God and the rewards that come from investing in Christian education.

So, this year, I am saying loud and clear, "You should come!"  Regardless of what grade level your child is, I encourage you to come to our high school commencement program on Sunday, May 30th at 4:00 pm. It will inspire and encourage you about what lies ahead for your child and you.

This year's keynote speaker is nationally known news and history commentator and author, William (Bill) Federer.  Bill is readily recognized for his American Minute radio program, which is broadcast across the nation.   Please find out more about Bill by visiting www.AmericanMinute.com.

I hope to see you on May 30th.  You will be glad you came, and you also will be saying, "Every CFS parent should come to the CFS graduation program."

CFS Students Excel at Contest

CFS 7th - 12th grade students demonstrated their talents and skills at the Midwest Academic and Fine Arts Festival held at Blue Ridge Christian School in Kansas City, MO on April 16th..  Over 75 CFS students joined approximately 1,200 others from over a dozen schools to participate in art, music, drama, and academic competition.   Both the Junior High Band and the Junior High Choir received "I" ratings, as did many other CFS students in many different events.  CFS math teams swept the competition by medaling (Receiving the highest score from among all the competing schools) in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Trigonometry.  Several individuals and other small ensembles  medaled in drama, instrumental music, singing, and math.  Students who medaled and/or received "I" ratings are listed here.

CFS Recognized for Academic Distinction

The Missouri ACT Council and The ACT Midwest Region joined in recognizing CFS for academic distinction at the ACT State Organization Conference on March 11 in Columbia.  CFS was one of 22 schools in Missouri that had one or more 2009 graduates achieving a perfect score of 36 on the ACT.  The ACT Council stated, "This speaks highly of the quality of education you are providing, and you are to be commended for your leadership."   Benjamin Heider was the CFS graduate who achieved the perfect score.  Ben attended CFS from preschool through 12th grade and is now a student at  Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, MO.
