The Annual Fund

BevHillsBWBy the time you receive this email, you should have also received the CFS Annual Fund letter.  The Annual Fund letter is highlighted by a beautiful picture of CFS kindergartner, Meredith Tran with the caption, "But will she love me?"  Meredith is shown holding the hands of both her mother and her new teacher.  As she looks up to her mother, her facial expression reflects the concern many first time students have, "Will I be okay... loved... accepted?"  With the photo and caption we wanted to communicate our school's value for being a loving environment and how that value flows from our educational philosophy.  As a Christian school our primary educational distinction is the conviction that Biblical truth, which reveals God's unending love through Jesus Christ, must be the foundation for all other knowledge. Therefore, we partner with parents in striving to see that every student is not only equipped academically, but is also secure in God's love through Jesus Christ and walking in the character qualities that rightly represent Him.  Thus our tagline: Knowledge.  Faith.  Character.

I hope you will prayerfully consider furthering your partnership with us by giving to the Annual Fund.  Your contribution allows us to provide tuition assistance to students with financial need, to support our teachers with a retirement program, and to purchase necessary supplies and equipment.  Please help us equip children with the love that never fails and the knowledge and character they need for success.  We are blessed by your prayers, your involvement, and your financial support.  May God richly bless you and your family during this Christmas season.

It's Basketball Season
Nearly 50 students in grades 6 - 12 are participating on four  CFS basketball teams this year.  The first home games for the two junior high and two high school teams are Saturday, December 5.  Be sure to check the CFS website for all the teams' schedules and come out and cheer for the Knights.

H1N1 Vaccinations

Approximately 75 CFS students from preschool to 12th grade received the H1N1 flu  vaccine Friday morning, Dec. 4.  Many students had already received the vaccine through their private physician's office.  Nurses from the Columbia/Boone County Public Health Department administered the vaccinations free of charge.  Children nine years of age and younger will receive follow-up doses of the vaccine in February.  A second dosage is not necessary for older children

Student Highlights and Activities
