Welcome to our new CFS e-newsletter |
|

After much planning and discussion, we are finally launching the CFS email newsletter. We hope this e-newsletter will help keep you informed about the many exciting events, activities, opportunities, and student achievements occuring here at CFS. In addition to school news, we will frequently provide you with information related to Christian education, parenting, and child development issues. Although we will not be following a strict schedule, we plan to send the newsletter twice a month.
In the near future, we hope to include grandparents, alumni, and other friends of CFS as newsletter recipients. Please feel free to forward the newsletter to others who you think may be interested in its contents. We pray that the newsletter will not just be informative, but that it will also encourage people to pray for CFS and to give thanks to God for how He is raising up a new generation of young people excelling in knowledge, faith and character.
Please let us know if there are activities, issues, or topics that you would like to see included in the newsletter. We welcome your input and comments.

Soccer games begin at 10:00 am Friday morning at Cosmo Park and volleyball games begin at 1:00 pm at CFS gymnasium. Friday evening at 8:00 pm will feature a student-led worship service at Christian Fellowship Church for all CFS students, families, and visiting players and families. CFS will dismiss at 11:30 am on Friday to accommodate the tournament. Please come out and enjoy quality competition and fellowship, as well as a wide range of food items at the snack bars. There are admission fees to the tournament at both locations.

Volunteers Needed |
|
CFS is in need of volunteer tutors for the Individual Instruction Center (IIC) and the after-school Academic Lab program. Interested persons may volunteer for one or several days and for one or several hours during the day. There is a particular need for tutors during the hours of 9:00 am to 11:00 am and from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Volunteers will facilitate the learning process for international students who are English language learners and/or provide remedial or enrichment assistance to other students. Please contact the school office (445-8565) if you are interested or would like more information.

Flu Information |
|
Through God's blessing and the watchful diligence of parents and school personnel, CFS has had very few cases of flu within the student population this year. As we approach the season for colder weather and more indoor activities, we know that conditions for spreading the flu will increase. Please be sure that you are informed about the flu by visiting www.flu.gov. We want to thank CFS nurse, Debby Jones, and several parents in the health professions who are providing us with the information we need to implement good health and flu prevention practices and policies in the school.
