OG Friends Society News

The latest Friends Society Meeting was held November 16th. The Friends gathered to discuss end-of-season events at the Gardens, and re-visit volunteer opportunities, and what each member of the Society is looking to contribute.

Volunteer Opportunities
20 Hours = A Season's Pass!

Our valued volunteers roll up their sleeves and help us put our best foot forward.

Numerous volunteer opportunities exist at the Gardens. Volunteers who commit to a minimum of 20 hours of service over the course of the season receive a season pass to the Gardens.

Volunteer Opportunities include (but are not limited to): event set-up/take-down, re-pot starter plants, propagate plants, nursery maintenance, planting, deadheading and weeding.

Click here to open a Volunteer Application. Submit it to Ohme Gardens via fax or email, or bringing it to the Ticket Office at the Gardens.

Welcome to the Ohme Gardens e-Newsletter, thank you for subscribing!

Winter is the time of promise because there is so little to do - or because you can now and then permit yourself the luxury of thinking so.

Stanley Crawford

As much as it would make sense to say "things have quieted down at the Gardens", it is hardly the case (and we are thankful for that!). It is the season for gift cards, and our office has been busy processing and mailing out Day Passes, Season Passes and Music Series Passes for the holiday season.

Wedding planning also continues through the Fall and Winter up here on the hill. If you haven't had a chance to view our new Wedding video (courtesy of Kabja Concepts), you can find it in the article "A Wedding at Ohme Gardens", or by visiting our YouTube channel by clicking the button below.

Our eNewsletters will be a bit shorter (but still sweet!) through the winter months - if you miss seeing certain articles such as "Bloom of the Month" or "Memories", let us know - and we will be happy to continue these sections.

On that note, if there is anything you would like to see in our upcoming monthly eNews editions - we'd love to hear your ideas! Find our contact information at the bottom of this page, or by clicking here.

Thank you for reading, and Happy Holidays to you and yours
