A school's merit is not justified by the fame of its teachers; rather it is defined by the success of its students.

Greetings!
We have greatly enjoyed our summer
so far, and we have much news to report from PDT. Congratulations to
all of the students who performed beautifully at the
PDT Summer Intensive Showcase at the Hun School auditorium on July 31st. Parents and friends were treated
to excerpts from Le Corsair and La Bayadere as well as original jazz
choreography by Broadway choreographer, Matt Williams.
PDT
students who went away this summer also made us very proud. While we
are very sad to see some of our older students leave us before we
thought they would, we are so pleased that premier company training
programs eagerly offered them places within their highly sought-after programs. Most notable are: 16 year-old Francesca Forcella earned a spot in the highly coveted Houston Ballet II company; Jillian Davis, also 16, earned a full tuition scholarship to the school of Pacific Northwest Ballet's Professional Division; Kayla Green became a trainee with Ballet Magnificat!; Abigail Wohl and Gretchen LaMotte earned spots in the advanced level of the school of San Fransisco Ballet; and Drew Nelson received a full scholarship to the school of Orlando Ballet. Many other dancers earned spots at highly respected university dance programs. Laura Whitby and Abigail Wohl gained admittence to the highly selective Indiana University Ballet Program, and Will Tomaskovich earned the one and only dance scholarship offered for the freshman class at Rutgers Mason Gross dance
program. The merit of a school is found in the success of its students. Kudos to these PDT students who are showing the nation what can come out of a small studio in Princeton, NJ.
While
August is a time to regroup and catch our breath, we still offer
consistent open ballet classes. A great way to stay in shape, the
classes are multi-level and suit ages 11-adult. You can view our open
class schedule below or on our website. As studio space is more
available in August, this month is also a great time to work on
technique one-on-one with a favorite instructor. It is also the time
to enjoy the very popular Forrestal Summer Night Swing on Thursday
evenings. Please see the information for this successful weekly event
below.
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Warmly, Risa Kaplowitz and Susan Jaffe Co-Directors
