Emergency Fundraiser for Maegan Kauffman medical expenses.
Dec. 10th - January 10th
Megan Kauffman Oklahomans for Equality will host an art show featuring the work of Maegan Kauffman. Proceeds from the art show will be used for Maegan's medical expenses associated with her treatment for Crohn's disease. A University of Oklahoma senior majoring in art, she is the granddaughter of Linda Stevens. Maegan has said "As an artist, I draw my inspiration from life and the human body as it differs from individual to individual. I am inspired by the human condition, and the way that we not only deal with the challenges we face out in the world, but also with the inner battles we have within ourselves."
The exhibit will be on display at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center located at 621 East 4th Street and opens December 10th and will run through January 10th. Every piece will be available for purchase. You may also make a donation by designating your gift to the Oklahomans for Equality Maegan Kauffman fund.

2010 Calendar Oklahomans for Equality is pleased to announce we now have 2010 calendars in the Pride Store.  Created by Bella Images the 2010 Bella Reflection Calendar features beautiful photographic images that will be familiar to the LGBT community in Northeastern Oklahoma. Photographer Liz Ingersol says 'Bella Reflection is about the journey of finding, knowing, loving and being yourself.  With all the changes that are upon our nation concerning equal rights it becomes the responsibility of the entire gay community to stop living two separate lives, start answering the difficult questions as tactfully as possible and continue breaking down the stereotypical fears.  Bella Reflection recognizes that the fight for equality does not come free and will be donating a portion of time and sales back into our community.
