Story of the Week
Another Semester Begins
Greetings!,
Tuesday evening a crowd of excited college students and CSP staff members joined together for a celebratory dinner to kick off the Fall semester. Returning student leaders, new leaders, and staff mingled over a meal and a croquet game as the sun sunk behind nearby houses.

The purpose of the gathering was to join together as leaders
of CSP and share in the excitement of the new year.
Prior to the beginning of the school year, the student leaders committed to journey on a four-day backpacking trip. This trip is structured for team bonding, spiritual development, and personal time with the Lord.

The team of 11 students, 1 staff member, and 1 guest hiking-expert woke up at 5:30 A.M. Wednesday morning and headed to Sequoia National Park. During the backpacking trip, the team is using the student leader training guide (pictured left) to aid them in meditating on the Gospel and preparing their hearts for their upcoming roles.
When the leaders return from hiking, they will be trained in their roles leading our teams at Biola and APU and will also receive intensive witnessing training beyond what they received as volunteers last year.
Please pray for:
1. God to empower these men and women for a dynamic and fruitful year of ministry.
2. God to embolden these leaders as they share Christ with unbelievers throughout the week.
3. God to unify these students into a strong team.
4. Wisdom for Michael Towson & Kolby Atchison as they lead these 12 days of off-site and local training.
