Story of the Week
Meet Betsy
Greetings!,
Meet Betsy, again! Last summer we introduced you to a gal named Betsy. After a year of part-time work, Betsy is now a full-time staff member at CSP as the official Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant.

Ranging from HomeTown Trip leader to cluster leader, and now staff, Betsy has always had a heart for serving in this ministry. We are very excited to have
her stay on the team!
Read the Q&A below to learn about why Betsy joined full-time staff and how you can be praying for her this summer.
1. Can you list all the official roles you've had at CSP? I've had quite a few! Here we go! Campus Mentor at Roosevelt High School, Cluster Leader for the Orange/Santa Ana area, part time Bookkeeper and Budget Administrator, HomeTown Leader to Oxnard, CA, and now full time Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant.
2. What made you want to join full time staff and when did you decide? It was a long decision process for me. I graduated from Biola University in December with a degree in Business Accounting and thought I was going to work for an accounting firm. However, after lots of prayer and many closed doors I began to think that maybe God wanted me to stay with CSP. I started to realize how much I love this ministry and sharing the Gospel and how there's nothing else that I'd rather be doing right now. In May, I made the decision to join full time, fully convinced that this is God's plan for my life.
3. How is your role different than what you've been doing? After I'm done support raising, my job will look pretty similar to what it was before but with some added finance responsibilities. Also, there is a possibility that I will get to help open a chapter at UCLA, which I'm really excited about.
4. What part does your job play in the grand scheme of CSP? How does your job support and connect to the ministry? As part of the administrative team, I help to create and maintain processes that support other CSP staff and their work. Also, as part of the finance team, I help steward the resources that allow the campus ministry work to happen. In the grand scheme of things, I hope that my job allows others to more easily and effectively reach high school campuses for Christ.
5. How is support raising going for you this summer and what have you learned? Support raising is going really well and God is blessing my work. After just a few weeks I am at 18%! The staff has heard me say this a hundred times but it's something that God has been really hammering into me as I work: Humility is the cure for anxiety. God has been showing me over and over again (specifically through 2 Peter 5) that anytime I feel anxious about funds, or time, or life I need to keep humbly passing my work and my cares back over to Him. He is the boss of this ministry and he is my provider. I don't need to freak out because I am not in charge.
6. How can we as the CSP community be praying for you this summer?
Please pray that God would continue to provide the right people for my support team. Also, support raising is really exhausting work for me (an introvert) so please pray that God will give me energy and strength to complete the tasks he has for me.
