Story of the Week

Staff Training Retreat

Greetings!

This week 13 staff members participated in an annual all-staff training retreat held at a local church in La Mirada. The theme of the three-day retreat was entitled Abide, rooted from John 15:1-17. Staff members were challenged to meditate on these verses through daily devotionals, group discussions, and extensive personal time with the Lord.

Many hours were spent reflecting on the Lord's provision over the last year, as well as the goals CSP has for the next two years.

Enjoying time out of the office, the staff explored a hiking trail in the Whittier Hills, roasted s'mores at Huntington Beach, and enjoyed croquet at a local park. All staff members concluded the retreat was a refreshing time to enjoy one another's company, praise God for His faithfulness, and look forward to the new school year.

Pray for the staff this week as they prepare for the semester ahead. Please pray for the staff as they continue to explore and learn what it means to Abide in Christ.

"Abide in me, and I in  you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing." -- John 15: 4-5

We challenge you to read John 15:1-17 this week and reflect on what it means to Abide in Christ.
