"I've never been witnessing before and I think a lot of times I say to myself, 'I'm not ready,' or 'I don't know God well enough to really share him with anybody,'" she said. She shared that Missions Conference pushed her to finally step forward in action.
Matthew Lew confessed he did not want to go at first, but was encouraged by multiple friends who are CSP mentors and finally felt compelled by the Holy Spirit.
"It was a God thing. I felt God calling me to go."
That afternoon at El Modena High School alone, 39 students were approached, 30 heard the Gospel and one made the decision to rededicate her life to Christ.

Afterward, Bethany and Matthew shared their thoughts about their first witnessing attempt.
"It was good but it was very difficult," said Matthew. "It was kind of awkward and hard especially when someone's not receptive toward it. The people we did talk to who were receptive were definitely interested about getting to know Christ more - you just got to pray for them to soften their hearts."
"I don't feel as nervous about it - I think it's just doing it for the first time," said Bethany. "You just have to do it."
From all five schools on Friday afternoon, 285 people were approached, 212 heard the Gospel and 9 people made a decision to accept Christ.
