  Greetings!

This is part 1 of a series that CSP will be sharing over the next few weeks. After analyzing the Story of the Week Survey, we are making an effort to share more follow up stories and to investigate how the Lord continues to move even after CSP is no longer working directly in an area. Thank you to those who participated in the survey: We value your opinions!

Dan Getzfred joined California School Project in the Fall of 2009. Getzfred was a mentor at 2 different high schools, one of them being La Habra High School. Dan explains that he deeply respects the Bible Club President at La Habra, Brandon Morales, and his enthusiasm and passion for the Gospel. "It was more of a friendship than a mentorship," says Dan.

Dan led a HomeTown Trip to Lemoore, CA, during the Spring of 2011. On this particular HomeTown Trip Dan and his team worked with 2 High Schools, both of which had a successful week of outreach, rallies, and witnessing. Dan attributes part of the week's success to Brandon. Dan took the initiative to invite Brandon to his HomeTown Trip and to empower him to share with his peers how to organize a good outreach rally and how to structure their Bible Club. Dan explains that Brandon inspired the clubs to do well. "He's a high school student and he's gone through the steps, so he can relate to them," shares Dan.

Fast forward a year. Dan is no longer working directly with CSP, but he continues to check in with the high school leaders in Lemoore. Last week Dan received an exciting text message from one of the Bible Club presidents from his hometown; the students that Dan worked with last year are going to train 2 other Bible Clubs in outreach! "Now we're going to train them in the same stuff you taught us," read the text message.

This Sunday February 19th, 4 High School Bible Clubs are gathering together to equip and train one another for outreach, and they are doing it on their own initiative. Dan will be taking a trip back to his hometown, Lemoore, to attend the training day, and he looks forward to sharing how it goes.

Stay tuned for the 2nd part of this series, and pray for the student leaders who are training 2 other high schools' leaders this Sunday. We praise God for their enthusiasm, and that the students are stepping up to share with other students what CSP leaders taught them. We look forward to sharing how the training day unfolds and seeing how the newly trained students will impact their campus for Christ.
