  Greetings!

"Do you believe in revival? Because if you don't, this isn't the ministry for you."

This was Kellee's rallying cry last Friday night at CSP's first ever staff recruiting dinner. 30 college students and grads from Biola and APU came out to hear the vision of CSP and consider dedicating a couple years of their lives to reaching high school students with the gospel.

Roosevelt High School

The event was held in East Los Angeles at Roosevelt High School, one of the largest inner city schools in LA with one of the largest drop-out rates but also one of the schools CSP has been able to partner with the most.  As CSP staff member Mark explained, "We chose to meet here because this school embodies a lot of what we believe in."

The staff reminded everyone of the great need for Christ in the lives of high school students in LA and California in general, and shared CSP's plan for reaching out to those students over the next few years. The team feels God calling them to expand the ministry to 10 Chapters in five years, giving over

1 million students in California the opportunity to hear the gospel. As CSP president Warren expressed, "You've all heard the numbers of drop-outs, teen pregnancies and drug dealers, but each number represents a person who needs Jesus."

Warren, Mark, Kellee, Ben and Michael shared testimonies of their experience working for CSP and encouraged everyone not to be held back from God's calling by the prospect of support-raising, emphasizing that God will provide.

Overall, the evening was a reminder to all who came, those who would join CSP staff and those who would go on to other things, to be dedicated to the vision of sharing the good news of Christ with a broken and needy world, whether through CSP, in overseas missions or in the business world.

Colin, a campus mentor from APU, responded: "My prayer has been that God would raise up the next generation, but lately, I've been discouraged-how is this ever going to happen? But now I see how it can."

This evening was a reminder that revival is still possible through the power of God.

Pray With Us

  • Pray for the Biola students who are going witnessing tomorrow (Friday) during Missions Conference.
  • Continue to pray for the APU team as they are connecting with the clubs they are helping.
  • Pray for all the schools who are planning a Share the Passion spiritual emphasis week in 4 weeks.

Thank you again for partnering with us in prayer!
