Story of the Week

Students in Chicago

hear the gospel

  Greetings!

January is usually an interterm vacation for Biola students, but this January eight Biola students left the comfort of sunny southern California for the snowy city of Chicago-all because of the gospel.

 Justin, Kolby

and Lainey are all from the small town of Palatine near Chicago and wanted to take the outreach tools they learned from CSP back to their own high schools.

So they hopped on a plane with five of their Biola friends to help put on outreach weeks at Palatine and Fremd high schools. As Jessica, one of the Biola team members, expressed, "I'm continually blown away by the fact that I'm actually doing something for God and that he's using me!"

The team trained Christian club students in sharing their faith and organizing rallies on campus.

Overall, the high school students organized 12 total rallies during which 9 students accepted Jesus Christ for the very first time and at least 70 recommitted their lives to Christ!

This was exciting for the club leaders at the two schools who had been praying for a way for God to use them. "This outreach was God's answer to prayer!" Heather, the club leader from Palatine High, realized.

Lainey was encouraged that "The CSP team simply assisted the high schoolers and provided the tools to exercise their passion."

Pray With Us

Pray that the Christian Club students at Palatine and Fremd would continue to reach out to their friends.

Pray for the Biola and APU chapters as they are gearing up for another semester of ministry.

Thank you again for partnering with us in prayer!
