Story of the Week
February 19th, 2010
Greetings!

Share the Passion is an outreach movement to share Christ on HS campuses around Easter. You'll be hearing a lot about it over the next several weeks, so this week we're explaining the idea. Are you ready?
Share The Passion

noun
, df: 1) An outreach movement where HS students share their passion for Jesus at school during Passion Week, 2010.
2) A set of 5 outreach challenges: witnessing, literature distribution, prayer, rallies, and follow up.

Share the Passion CrossCSP mentors are helping students set up campus-wide outreach. Imagine the impact as students share the message of Christ to their school on Good Friday!

The Website:
We launched www.ShareThePassion.org to explain the 5 Challenges and provide training resources to students and pastors looking to get involved. It already has some curriculum, and will soon be live with all the training that students need to host campus outreach.

Response:
So far, 19 schools - from Orange County to Las Vegas - have enlisted to Share The Passion
Paige at Mission Viejo HS
"I can't wait to share the gospel with other high school students and hopefully be a stepping stone in their relationship with God."

Pray With Us
  • Share the Passion - We know that hundreds or thousands of students will hear the gospel. Pray for response and changed lives as a result of hearing the message and follow up.

  • Mentor Training Retreat - This weekend (2/19-21) our mentors are getting trained for the semester. Pray that they meet God, come together as a team, and walk away encouraged and equipped for ministry.

  • Ignite The Passion - February 27th
Next Saturday, many of those schools will come together at Biola for planning the outreaches in 4 weeks.
Thanks for your prayers. We're glad to have your partnership in ministry through Prayer.

Sincerely,

the California School Project
