Story of the Week
October 9th, 2009
Greetings!

We're 6 weeks into the semester. The first 2 phases of ministry are almost over (remember the 4 phases we described in the first email) and students are moving towards outreach! This week's story comes from La Habra HS.

Free Stuff Outreach @ La Habra HS
On Wednesday, the Christian Club turned Club Rush into Gospel Outreach by telling people exactly what they believe, and offering Christian literature to their school.

Student at La Habra HS Club Table
When La Habra students visited to the Christian Club table to learn about the club, they got materials about the Gospel.

Christian students gave
away Bibles and said,

"This is what we're all about: We're about helping people have a relationship with God"

Their table featured Gospel of John booklets, Tracts, Bibles, More Than a Carpenter (Josh McDowell), and several Intelligent Design DVD's: The Privileged Planet, Unlocking the Mystery of Life, and Icons of Evolution.

Pray with Us

  • Many students at La Habra took Bibles and tracts. Pray that God speaks to them as they read.
  • Several mentors are joining students at Fullerton HS for witnessing today(Friday 10/9). Pray that they God speaks through them to change lives.
  • Keep praying that mentors' first meetings with students set them (mentors and students) for a year of dynamic ministry.

Keep praying with us, and look for another story of campus outreach next week.

Sincerely,

La Habra Mentors
Michael and Alli

This is La Habra's first outreach of the year. They started by combining outreach and club advertising.

According to Michael, "It shows the campus that they're not afraid of what they believe."
