"The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God, the Rock, my Savior!" ~II Samuel 22:47 |
Greetings! We praise God for a great week! It has been great serving the community of Santa Rosa and it has been exciting to see the fruit of the Christian club's hard work and the power of God in them. Praise the Lord!
It has been a blessing to have you as a prayer partner this week, as Christian clubs seek to make a lasting difference in students' lives. Really, this is a spiritual battle, and boldly coming before the throne of grace empowers Almighty God's servants, because we partake of His strength. We are grateful that you are uplifting these times to our Father. Thank you for praying! | |
Montgomery High School To follow up with students after their rallies, the Montgomery Christian club hosted a Q & A club meeting Friday, where a pastor came at club's request. Questions focused on the tough issues of Christianity. One particular student came wanting to know more about God!
Please pray for those who are searching at Montgomery to earnestly pursue the truth. |

Santa Rosa High School Santa Rosa's rally on Friday went well, with Rob, a local church member and father of a club member, sharing how God transformed him from a thieving drug dealer to one who finds real meaning in Christ.
Students listened. One student even approached Rob after the rally asking "Was your story real? Did that really happen in your life?" As Rob replied affirmatively, the student said, "Cool! Thank you for coming to share your story!" and now the rest of the work is up to the Lord and His continued work through His body. Students also gave out More Than a Carpenter books, Bibles, and newspapers about the resurrection. |
Friday Night Follow-up Event
Each day during the rallies, Christian club students from Montgomery, Santa Rosa, and Maria Carrillo invited their peers to come to a Follow-Up Rally Friday Night to learn more about "Dare You to Move." The event was very powerful, including the Lifehouse Everything skit, the band Blood and Water, break-dancers, tons of food, and Youth Pastor Billy sharing the gospel! Students even gave a way an iPod touch in a raffle! We are thankful that over 75 students came! Praise the Lord that 13 decided to receive Christ for the first time.

Prayer Requests:
-
Eighty students responded on the Santa Rosa's Easter survey that they would be interested in attending a club meeting about the resurrection. Please pray for this upcoming event.
-
Uplift the campuses in the city of Santa Rosa. Friend, please pray that students will continue this work in the future. Lord, let the your students have a continued fervor for you and may the Spirit continue to work on Santa Rosa's campus.
-
Please pray for the spiritual growth of the 13 students who accepted Christ, specifically that they would find fulfillment in Him as they are rooted in Him.
-
We are thankful for the outstanding community/church involvement with the clubs here in Santa Rosa. Lord, please continue to bind the community together around high schools and do not let Your work diminish.
Indeed, "may the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."(Ro 15:5)

~Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. |
