       Start your Fourth of July Weekend off with an explosion of creative expression at First Friday Art Walk, 6-10 p.m. July 2.
       Enjoy works by such featured artists as Kat Allie, Andrew Eggers, Stephanie Cramer, Clarissa French,Summer 2010 Gallery Guide Brochure Meredith Lowery, Jim Mayfield, Mike Morris, Harold Patterson, Barb Radovanovich, Juli Cady Ryan, Lane Simmons, Carla Stine, Barb Williams, Elaine Willig,  Mitch Yung and more! Also, be sure to pick up the brand new Gallery Guide Brochure at any of our member venues.
       For parents seeking a night out, the Downtown Y offers affordable child care for Art Walking parents via Family Art Night. Serving children ages 3 months to 12 years, 6:30-9 p.m., the cost is only $10 per child. Kids enjoy healthy activities and snacks, story time and a hands-on art project to take home. AIDS Project of the Ozarks      APO After Dark, 303 Park Central West, presents Jewelry by Meredith Lowery and Pottery by Andrew Eggers in July. APO After Dark is the evening/ weekend drop-in center for AIDS Project of the Ozarks, offering confidential HIV/syphilis testing, safer sex supplies and risk-reduction counseling free to the general public. Sherman Parkway, home of the Springfield Regional Arts Council, presents an invitational exhibition, Open Doors, featuring work of local artists created on doors or with a door theme.      DB Design Salon  DB Design Salon & Art Gallery, 326 S. Campbell,  continues its show with Featured Artist Jim Mayfield, the well-known area photographer whose work has been shown at The Smithsonian. DB Design continues to show the beautiful watercolors of Debra Sutherland, while its ongoing display of pottery features Julia Schaefer, John Ehlers, Katrina Stevens, George Milne and Duane Bone.
