Imagine yourself standing atop a sacred mountain site, just north of Malibu. Behind you, the green hills of the Santa Monica Mountains. Before you, the sun shimmering off the calm Pacific a thousand feet below. Cool ocean breezes caress your face as the Channel Islands lie beneath you like emeralds on blue velvet. And come night, the Milky Way rising up high, reflected on cool ocean waters.
Welcome to the 2010 CMG Spirituality Weekend.
The Local Events Committee in Los Angeles presents a new two-day event at the Gindling Hilltop Camp on the cliffs above Malibu, filled with dozens of activities to choose from (or none) to allow you to deepen and enrich your own personal journey in your own personal way at your own personal pace.
Take an all-too-rare opportunity to slow down a bit, clear your mind, be more present, reflect and discover yourself in the company of warm and wonderful CMG brothers.
This weekend is not about religion -- it is an invitation to take a break from our insanely busy, stress-filled lives, and come together as a community. This is your chance to experience spirituality in the everyday. Join your CMG brothers in Opening and Closing Ceremonies; Workshop/Activities; a Communal Campfire and a StarWalk -- or spend your time your own way.
Get in touch with your own spirituality in a safe, supportive environment in connection with nature, and hopefully leave a bit more at peace...and inspired to stay that way!
Lead an Activity: A major part of the Spirituality Weekend will be the four Activity periods during the weekend. Similar to CMG Gathering Workshops,
these Activities will focus on six different categories where attendees can experience spirituality:
Movement, Dance & Play; Art & Music; Bodywork; Rituals/Meditation; Physical Exercise; and "Other" (self-defined). We invite
all attendees to consider leading an Activity -- just click
here to get a
Activity/Workshop Proposal Form from the Activity/Workshop Coordinator.
