Drollinger joins UPA as vice president

Barbara DrollingerTwenty-year worker's compensation veteran Barbara Drollinger joined UPA as vice president of strategic relations. She is responsible for developing new markets and products for our agents, with a goal of making it easier for carriers and agents to do business.

"I joined UPA because of its innovative approach to electronic communication with agents and its business model that streamlines communication from agents to carriers," Drollinger said. "We have a number of competitive advantages that can assist you with your clients."

UPA competitive advantages:
  • UPA's proprietary Web-based portal that allows for quick, easy access to our custom-built online submission platform
  • Electronic communication platforms for stakeholders, including an electronic newsletter, social media and customized marketing material
  • Our branded pay-as-you-go payroll solution called UPAY-As-You-Go, which eliminates annual premium down payments, thus reducing workers' compensation costs for employers
  • A local third-party administrator, Claimetrics, which shares common ownership with UPA, manages the claims through a leading-edge, comprehensive claims management process that includes robust clinical intervention and a proprietary Proactive Resolution Process (PREP)

"As we work to grow our insured base, we remain committed to creating new technology initiatives that allow agents and carriers to eliminate data entry redundancies and improve their overall bottom line revenues. We are also focused on developing new Web-based applications to further improve communication among all stakeholders.
