The SIX COMPONENTS OF THE LANDFILL and TRANSFER STATION SAFETY TRAINING PROGRAMS

Each safety topic includes the following items:

The training videos are the core of the safety training program.  Each topic includes a 13-20 minute training video.  Neal Bolton presents the information in a direct, easy to understand format. Each video contains actual landfill footage, photos and graphics that pertain to the topic at hand.  The videos are presented in an informal and conversational style...keeping with our reputation for a nuts and bolts approach to training.

1 Teacher's Manual

An instructor's manual accompanies each video.  The manuals are based on the video's script along with excerpted photos from the current topic. Additionally, the instructor's manual includes sidebar notes, tips and examples, all intended to help the instructor engage the crew.

10 Employee Booklets

Every landfill will also receive a packet of 10 booklets for each crew member, which corresponds to the current video topic. These are similar to the teacher's manual without the sidebar information.

1 Sign-Off Sheet

Every topic includes a sign-off sheet.  After participating in any of the safety training sessions, workers sign the sheet.  These may be placed in personnel files or the free binder which comes with every subscription, thereby documenting the landfill's training effort.  The goal is to provide documentation that specific training was provided to every employee.

1 Poster

Posters highlighting each topic's message are included with each topic.  They are also available individually.  Based on representative photos and short statements about the current topic, the posters are printed in color on 11" x 17" poster paper.

3 Tailgate Updates

Each topic also includes 3 "tailgate updates."  These are short conversational topics that offer a quick reminder of a key part of the training topic.  They are printed on cover stock....with a participant sign-off section on the back.
