Trash Flash
Neal's Tip of the week #38
Are you having problems with litter around the tipping area at your landfill?  Consider building some large litter screens that could be placed around the perimeter of the tipping area.  Make sure that the screens can be easily moved as the cells or active area progresses.  It's much easier to pick up litter if it's contained.
 LOAD CHECKING
Federal and State regulations require landfill operators to conduct random load checks to help prevent the receipt of hazardous materials.
Landfill Safety Topic #53 will train your employees how to identify and respond to hazardous material in the waste stream.
