Since Torishima Pump was established in August of 1919, we have been supplying and developing pumps and machinery that transport the liquids that are essential to the development of society. At the same time, we have contributed to the growth and development of society under our company motto of "Never lose the public trust, even if monetary loss proves unavoidable." In order to accommodate today's rapidly changing business climate, we have been accelerating the globalization of our pump business, focusing on both high-technology pumps and standard pumps.
Torishima believes that the 21st century will be the era of the environment and resources, particularly water and energy. Torishima Pump supplies pumps for EMAL, Emirates Aluminum Smelter Project
Torishima Pump recently shipped pumps to Abu Dhabi to be installed at the Emirates Aluminum (EMAL) aluminum smelter plant at Al Taweelah. Torishima will supply the Boiler Feed, Condensate and Cooling Water pumps for the smelter complex's dedicated 2,000MW power plant. The EPCM contract for the smelter project is a joint venture comprised of Canada's SNC-Lavalin and Australia's Worley Parsons. When both phases are completed, it will be the largest single-site aluminum smelter complex in the world.

Torishima Pump Supplies BCP for Longview Power Coal Project
Torishima Pump recently shipped our Model HLAV200-490/1K Boiler Circulating Pump to Maidsville, W.Va. for the Longview Power Coal Fired plant project. The supercritical once through steam generator is being supplied by Foster Wheeler North America Corp. with US offices in Clinton, NJ. Longview Power is a 695 (net) megawatt supercritical pulverized coal-fired generating facility employing an advanced technology proven to operate with higher combustion and environmental control efficiencies. |
Torishima Pump supplies BCP for Duke Cliffside Coal Project Torishima Pump recently shipped our Model HLAV250-520/1K Boiler Circulating Pump to NC for the Duke Energy Cliffside 900 MW Coal Fired plant project. The supercritical boiler is being supplied by Hitachi Power Systems America in conjunction with the Shaw Power Group, Charlotte, NC. According to Duke Energy, the Cliffside Plant will have the most effective air emission controls available making it one of the cleanest coal-fired plants in the nation. |
