. . . and for those of you in NEW YORK, we are presenting another concert with Sonia M'Barek, in partnership with
Alwan for the Arts on Friday, March 23, 7pm

We had a wonderful evening featuring Kareem Roustom and his compositions on February 25 at Trinity Center for Urban Life.

You can see photos and read about the exhilarating evening here.

On March 4, Crossroads Music and International House presented Al-Bustan's ResidentTakht Ensemble and guest vocalist Farah Siraj in a concert of classical and contemporary Arab music.

Read a review of the concert by Global Philadelphia Association's Aggie Ebrahimi Bazaz here.

We are pleased to share with you comments from two audience members:

Last evening I was gifted with the privilege of hearing Hanna Khoury and the other musicians, along with the guest singer, perform at the International House. Thank you to all for sharing your extraordinary talents and vision. Words almost can't capture the exquisite beauty of the humanity and music that were expressed, so I will simply say, as Hanna suggested, "Allah!"

I just wanted you to know how much we loved your concert at International House..I have told dozens of people about you and the music. I probably learned more about music that night than I have ever learned before and have since found myself looking up quarter notes and tones. Your music director shared such joy of the music and although some previously unheard of terms and concepts were introduced it was with such enthusiasm that I seem to have seemlessly absorbed them.

Thanks to all who joined us that evening and thanks to Crossroads Music and International House for giving us the opportunity to share Arab arts and culture!
