ENCAUSTIC AND ARABIC CALLIGRAPHYWORKSHOPS Taught by artist TREMAIN SMITH
April 18-May 30 Saturdays 10 am - 12 pm Series of 6 Workshops $120/student
Open to 6th -12 graders, this workshop combines the ancient art forms of Encaustic Painting and Arabic Calligraphy. No previous Arabic calligraphy experience required: instruction provided.

Tremain Smith has been working in encaustic for fifteen years. Her work is displayed in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. She has had solo exhibitions in every major U.S. city, and has conducted workshops to students of all ages. To view her work online, click here.

Our Camp Open House is a chance for everyone to get a sneak peek at what we have in store for this summer. Returning campers get the chance to see their summer friends, parents glimpse the types of quality cultural education offered in our program, and newcomers can tour the facility and meet some of our staff.
If you know any child, teen, or family who is interested in Al-Bustan Camp, this is the perfect opportunity to show them how fabulous our program really is!
