We're excited to announce the December 3rd release of an updated version of the sympathy flowers page for those on the redesigned affiliate site.

With a fresh new design that brings the flower options higher up the page and helps drive conversion by displaying the deceased's name in the header, we're expecting your revenue to increase

Please note that any local features from your current flowers page will be maintained with this release.

2009 was a year of many notable deaths, and this year's most visited Guest Books include those for prominent entertainers, journalists, athletes, statesmen, musicians and everyday individuals who garnered attention because of the circumstances of their deaths.
  1. Michael Jackson - 24,000 entries
  2. Edward Kennedy - 7,387 entries
  3. Patrick Swayze - 7,127 entries
  4. Farrah Fawcett - 5,700 entries
  5. Jett Travolta - 3,702 entries
  6. Shaniya Davis - 3,607 entries
  7. Ft. Hood Shooting Victims - 2,859 entries
  8. Ashley Jewell - 2,513 entries
  9. Natasha Richardson - 2,493 entries
  10. David Poole - 2,106 entries

These numbers* help illustrate how much your users value the Guest Book as a place to share memories and condolences. Many of you linked to these Guest Books in your news coverage in addition to featuring them on your co-branded obituaries pages. This not only helps drive traffic, but gives many of your users their first experience with online obituaries and Guest Books.

The Cutest Howl-iday Pets contest began on November 20th and users have already submitted several hundred photos and cast thousands of votes to help determine the winners.

The Fond du Lac Reporter in Wisconsin has involved their readers by mentioning the contest in editorial content in both its print and online editions, lending it credibility and creating awareness for users unfamiliar with their pets site.

Other affiliates are promoting the contest on Facebook and Twitter, and several affiliates have sold local display ads to generate incremental revenue.

The contest doesn't end until December 23, so you still have plenty of time to get your readers involved. Download promo materials or get more info on this fun and effective promotional opportunity.
