Gadzoo affiliates innovate with localized content

Affiliates across our Gadzoo network have been finding innovative ways to reach out to local pet lovers.
Recently, the Ocala Star-Banner created an Adoption Gallery widget for its pet page, allowing users to see animals available for adoption from the local chapter of the Humane Society.
"We do a lot of work with non-profits and were looking for a low-cost way to promote the Humane Society of Marion County," said Michael Gurczynski, Online Operations Manager at the newspaper. Spending only an estimated 4-5 hours, Gurczynski was able to create an easy tool for the Humane Society to use in uploading and displaying their pet photos in a widget that lives on the newspaper's pets page -- all at no cost to either the paper or the Humane Society.
Teaming with local shelters is a great idea, as the shelters benefit from greater exposure and your newspaper creates another connection to the local community.
