Happy New Year!  Thank you for your business in 2008, a year in which we served our affiliates by:
  • Increasing affiliate traffic. Monthly unique visitors across obituary affiliates grew 24% in 2008.
  • Launching new products. We introduced two new stand-alone products intended to drive revenue and build community: Legacy.com Memorial Websites and LegacyConnect (social networking site.)
  • Increasing affiliate revenue. Average online sales revenue per notice increased by 11% for partners in Q4 2008 vs. Q4 2007.
  • Expanding our affiliate network. Our affiliate network expanded by 229 affiliates, bringing the total number of newspaper partners to more than 700 in North America, Europe and Australia.
In 2009, we are focused on giving your users an even better experience while continuing to increase your revenue.  In early 2009, look for the following:
  • New Guest Book design. Introduces a more robust user experience and greater revenue opportunities.
  • Affiliate site redesign. In addition to modernizing the look and feel of your obituary site, our redesign will help you better meet user needs while driving increased revenue.

Legacy.com Memorial 
Websites Redesign
 
In December, the redesigned Legacy.com Memorial Websites (LMW) product pages launched across all sites with a modernized look and feel and a more user-friendly experience.

Several new features were also added, including:
  • Additional background templates
  • Ability for users to upload their own music
  • Improved site tour 
  • Prominent links to LegacyConnect.
