Tip of the Week:  Create Your Day (Part 2): Emotion

Hi,

Emotions are the language of the soul; they are the Global Positioning System of our spirit that let us know our exact location: where we are and where we need to go.  Our feelings are waves of energy that course through our bodies with powerful force.  When we experience positive emotions, our bodies vibrate with happiness and joyful energy.

In this week's Tip of the Week, we will continue our three part series on CREATING YOUR DAY.  Last week we began with INTENTION; this week we will look at perhaps the most challenging aspect of this trilogy, EMOTION.  Next week we will finish this series by discussing ACTION.

With love,

Frankie

CREATE YOUR DAY (PART 2): EMOTION

We will have a radically different experience of life once we begin living by design - intentionally deciding what we want to "hold" in our reality.

We began the process of creating our day by setting a crystal clear intention of what it is we wanted to experience.  Now comes the most crucial and trickiest part:  feeling good.

Once we know what it is we want, we need to access positive emotions in order to attract goodness, love, and happiness.  Our emotions hold the power to shift our neurobiology and their vibrational state attract to us that which we are feeling.  Thus, if we are feeling sad, we tend to attract more situations to feel sad in, and if we are feeling happy, we tend to attract more situations to feel happy in.

As a psychotherapist, I know that for some of us, feeling good is not always easy.  On the contrary, it seems ever elusive.  How then do we orchestrate our emotions to access the positive feelings we need to attract goodness, love, and happiness into our lives?

CALL TO ACTION

1.  Once you have set a clear, sensory-rich, intention of what it is you want to experience in your day, infuse this image with as much positive emotion as you can muster.  Access feelings of joy, happiness, and love as you "hold" the image of the day in your mind.

2.  Here are some suggestions for how to access positive emotions:

     a.  Think of someone you love or someone who loves you.  Bring them into the theater of your mind and step into the feelings of love that connect you.  Love is the most powerful emotion in the Universe.  The more love you feel, the more love you will attract into your life.

     b.  Access feelings of gratitude by thinking of everything you have to feel grateful for in your life.  If necessary, write down 100 things that you are grateful for every day until you feel a positive shift in your energy.

     c.  Keep a "Treasure Chest" of memories and situations that make you feel good, or beautiful words that others have said that touch your heart.

     d.  Use the power of your imagination to manufacture and orchestrate memories that foster positive emotions.  It doesn't matter if they are not 100% real.  Your subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between something real and something vividly imagined.  The important thing is to find creative ways to access positive emotions.  Find ways to feel good and you will begin to change your brain's baseline to one of greater joy and happiness.

3.  Pair the positive emotions with the image of the day you want to experience.  See it, hear it, smell it, touch it, and feel it.  Feel the positive emotions of standing in this image.

4.  "Kiss" this image and send it outwards with love unto the Universe.

"Many people don't know about the power of good feelings, and so their feelings are reactions or responses to what happens to them. They have put their feelings on automatic pilot, instead of deliberately taking charge of them.  Every single second is an opportunity to change your life, because in any moment you can change the way you feel."

"I am determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may find myself.
For I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness
is determined not by our circumstance but by our disposition."
