Amazing things happened at
"The Awakening 2010" |
 During "The Awakening 2010," Oct. 5-7, some amazing things happened. Jesus Christ brought true awakening to the hearts and lives of our community. So many lives were changed, 872 in fact. Over 300 students came to know Christ for the first time. Wow! Our God is so amazing!
"The Awakening" happened after God spoke to Pelham High School Head Football Coach Brett Burnett and revealed to him that we needed a revival for students. This passionate coach spoke with his football team chaplain, Pastor Donnie Sisk, who agreed. Coach Burnett wanted the revival to happen in 12 days. TWELVE DAYS - sounds impossible, right? Speakers, bands, a venue and a sound system in 12 days with no money, how could this have possibly been pulled off? "The Awakening" happened because God awakened in Coach Burnett and Pastor Sisk the desire to see the church wake-up and make a difference in our community.
Speakers included David Nasser, Rick Burgess and Scott Dawson. Worship Bands and leaders included Elevate Worship Band, Kevin Derryberry, Saul2Paul, G5 Radical and David Paul Brooks.
Please be in prayer for students as they seek to grow closer to God and reach out to their fellow classmates with the love and message of Jesus Christ. Praise God for speaking to Coach Burnett and for giving him the passion to see this revival through! "The Awakening 2010" will continue Nov. 9-12, 2010, at the Verizon Wireless Music Center. Be Bold Concert |

First Priority and 93.7 WDJC radio would like to invite you and your youth group to the 5th Annual Birmingham Bowl on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Birmingham's historic Legion Field. Come and enjoy the "Be Bold" Concert featuring Building 429 prior to game kick-off at 10 a.m. in the Fan Zone.
Group combo tickets are $20 each and include admission to the concert and game. Groups that purchase a minimum of 10 tickets by December 10th will be eligible to receive one of three Be Bold Concert/Birmingham Bowl experiences.
