Woodland Park School District Re-2

All District Schools will be open at normal time on Friday, January 23rd, 2009. All buses will be on normal schedule and all activities will proceed as scheduled.
As per the guidelines from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, the school district has made the following accommodations:

Multiple Deep Rock water dispensers have been placed throughout WP High School, WP Middle School, Columbine and Gateway Elementary

The School District is encouraging students to bring their own water from home (if it is safe)

All of the water fountains in these buildings have been turned off or disabled

Hand sanitizer has been placed in all restrooms and hand washing areas.

The District Food Service has worked with Teller County Public Health and Teller County Environmental Health and meets or exceeds all necessary guidelines to serve meals in the district

The District is working closely with city and county officials to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff
The following statement is from the City of Woodland Park for customers needing additional drinking water.
The City of Woodland Park has hired a private water service truck to provide FREE drinking water to its customers during the Water Boil Order. This truck will be parked in front of City Hall located at 220 W. South Avenue today, January 22, between 4:00 & 7:00 PM. This water is hand carry only and customers must provide their own containers. No large water tanks will be filled. Please contact City Hall at 687-9246 with questions.
