Vintage Scouting Auctions Getting All The Bids
A pair of 1947 WJ items headlines today's issue of the Hot Finds. I'm pretty keen on that Silver Award medal. I'd say that all in all there is a good variety here with a copy of Scouting for Boys, a vintage compass and more.

Boy Scout Memorabilia Worth A Closer Look
If you have been watching the category the auctions have exploded with the help of a big special that eBay launched this week. While that wave won't hit until next week it will help kick of 2012 with some big sales. All of these are ending on the last days of 2011.

Santeeswapper Fave Colors= Red & White
Among the many auctions I've got running right now is a legitimate Rated #10 Red and White Council 1/2 strip that has a book price of over $1,000. If that is not to your liking you can also choose from about thirty different Transatlantic Council RWS and many Philmont patches.

I hope you've had the chance to listen to my radio show podcast with John Pannell. I think that its neat to pull back the curtain on some of the interesting things in our hobby and tell the story. I'm headed to Dallas in January with my trusty digital recorder and I hope to get a lot more great stories that I can share in the coming months. I hope you won't mind getting the Sunday issue a day early but I promise it will have the same great content. I'm going to do a blog post next week with some before and after pictures of my big garage project. The work is almost done and the transformation was pretty incredible.
Sincerely,
 Jason Spangler Santeeswapper LLC
