Weekend Rewind
  December 4. 2011
Greetings!
If you thought that things would die down in the category with the calendar turning to December you don't have to worry.  I went digging around eBay looking for great auctions that are closing in less than 48 hours and I found plenty.  In fact several of these are doing very well as they wind down to a close Sunday & Monday.  Have fun clicking through these picks.

I don't usually see the early felt Jamboree patches in that good of shape which explains why the one pictured below is selling for over $200 and still going.  If you want a light coat with some bling on it you should bid on the green 1953 National Jamboree jacket which includes of course the jacket patch.

I sometimes wonder what is the best strategy to sell items like the vintage neckerchief slides below.  Now my personal opinion says you are better off selling old items like that individually but we will soon know how this beautiful lot of 4 pieces turns out.

My brother attended the 1981 National Jamboree so I should ask him if he ever owned a complete set of the subcamp patches. I know in 2010 the subcamp patches were among the toughest sets to complete.

I put a little big of everything in this block.  There is a Quartermaster medal in the same line as vintage camp school patch.  I don't know anybody who would prefer the 1962 Voyageur to a modern dome tent but that hasn't slowed the bidding one bit.
pedro I know many of you are attending Christmas parties this time of year and so I thought I'd share my Scouting related story from tonight.  So my church has a young adults group and we were invited to an "Ugly Christmas Sweater" party Saturday night.  However, I didn't own said sweater so I was at a loss for what to wear.  When to my surprise my mailman delivered my latest eBay purchase.  I had just won the Pedro Boy's Life jacket pictured here and seeing as it had some Christmas colors in it I wore it to the party much to my wife's chagrin.  Turns out one lady nailed me dead on and said, "that looks like a woolrich Boy Scout jacket"! I didn't win the prize for the ugliest sweater but I enjoyed wearing my new jacket just the same.
