eBay Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter
Weekend Rewind
  November 6. 2011
Greetings!
This Sunday is another big finale for a the category with lots of great auctions ending today.  I've got lots of OA, and tons of vintage Scouting memorabilia featured.  If you like mixed lots there are a pair of 100 CSP lots along with several others in the newsletter.  Have fun digging through these top picks.
Vintage Scouting Auctions At The Top
I have a segregated camp patch as the top listing today and I can't wait to see how it ends.  Make sure and read the news flash at the bottom of this email if you are interested in SSC. The warrant signed by BP is from 1915 and is going to end really strong.  You can also find a few of the multiple Eagle medals featured today in this block.
Order of the Arrow Auctions Getting Bids
I know somebody dug up a good collection out of my back yard in NC judging by all the Old North State WWW that is one Bay right now.  However, its probably that Tahquitz flap that will finish as the top seller among these picks.

Scouting Picks Going 3D
The Philmont topo map is really a gem that I don't remember having in the Hot Finds over the last two years.  However, one of the strongest auctions here is actually the stained glass Eagle scene which has a ton of bids.

Lots of Lots in The Boy Scout Category
I have some mixed lots pictured today but with so many running live I had to also do text links.  I'm sure there are bargains to be had if you are lucky enough to scoop one of these listings.

I have been experimenting with some multimedia lately and I want to let you know that I've settled on a new format for the podcast that I think will be exciting.  Starting Wednesday the show will go to a format that I think may bring back some of the magic that some of us miss from the Clothtalk series back in 2006-2007.  On Wednesday November 9 at 9:00 Eastern I'm going to record a live show at BlogTalkRadio whereby you can actually call in to particpate.   The new format is going to include interviews on Scouting memorabilia topics.  I've already worked up the first interview that will air Wednesday and the topic is collecting segregated camp memorabilia.  Jason Shull who is an avid collector of this niche in our hobby and was partly responsible for the SSC display at the 2010 National Jamboree is the guest.  Jason has spent the last few years digging through newspaper articles and interviewing old Scouts to help build the knowledge base in this area.  He has been aggressively going after this memorabilia and now has one of the Top 5 collections in the country for segregated scout camps. I'll have more on this in the Tuesday edition but I wanted to let you know in anticipation of the first episode in the new format.

Yours in Scouting,
