I am proud to be a lawyer. I make this statement knowing full well that lawyers are often the focus of jokes and bad puns. Such statements existed even before Shakespeare's famous line in Henry VI: "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers." Contrary to popular belief, this line by the famous bard was not a lament about the negative aspects or results of lawyers. Instead, it was intended to eliminate those individuals who might obstruct the revolution contemplated by the characters in Shakespeare's play. In reality, this line highlights one important beneficial role that lawyers can play in society. To remind us of those benefits, our firm is providing to you the attached video. It provides commentary and observations about attorneys and their benefits, ranging from fictional characters like Bart Simpson, to quotations from past presidents. Once you have reviewed it, then you will be reminded why and how lawyers are important and beneficial to our society.
