An exciting month is before us!  We are concluding a week of fasting and prayer with a prayer meeting on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.  It would be great if you could join us for prayer.  Then, Sunday begins a series of four weeks called "BASECAMP".   Last year I received clear direction from the Lord in refining our vision for our church family and clarifying the process for how those new to our church can become a part of our family and grow to spiritual maturity.  BASECAMP will be the entry point for everyone so I wanted to expose our entire church to this teaching.  This will be done in the four Sunday's of February.  This week we begin with an interesting view of our 94 year history and provide an introduction to the vision.  Here is the vision simply stated:  A commitment to TRUTH (know it), GROWTH (pursue it), and LOVE (give it) leads to a healthy life.  You are going to receive a lot of information in these four weeks that you will want to hang on to as the foundation for becoming all God has designed you to be.  I can't wait to share it with you.

Wednesday nights provide another opportunity for growth.  The Men's and Women's Bible Studies are gaining momentum and we would love to have you there if it works in your schedule.  There is a place for every member of the family with great children's and youth meetings at the same time.

Looking forward to growing with you this month.

John 8:32 "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

HIV / AIDS 101

Come talk HIV/AIDS with us this Sunday, February 7, at 9:30 or 11:15am in S-10. All of us are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS everyday without realizing it. There is so much misinformation and so many facts to be set straight. Come interact with health professionals who are experts in the field of HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care. Learn how HIV is spread, how it replicates, side effects, medication use, and disease progression. Hear personal accounts on living with HIV and how we all can care for those living positive. Can you help stop HIV/AIDS from its continual spread in our communities?

If you're thinking this topic does not affect you; we need YOU there!
EASTER CHOIR & DRAMA AUDITIONS

If you would like to participate in this year's SAVIOUR concerts during the Easter weekend by SINGING in the choir please come to Sunday rehearsals starting February 14 in the Chapel from 1-3pm.

To participate in this year's SAVIOUR concerts during the Easter weekend by ACTING in the drama please come to auditions on February 14 at 1pm in S-4.

678 RETREAT "SURROUNDED"

678 presents the 2010 Youth Winter Retreat. We want students to join us for this time of inspiration.  Caleb D. Cole will be bringing revelation and teaching from the Word.  Coupled with a worship experience led by Jordan Flower, we are expecting to be Surrounded. Hebrews 12:1 "We are SURROUNDED by such a huge crowd of witnesses, to the life of faith; strip off every weight that slows us down, run with endurance the race that God has set before us."  Surrounded will be held February 26-28 at Jenness Park. The cost will be $150 (limited scholarships available). If interested in providing a student with a scholarship or to sign up, visit the Ministries kiosk or contact Student Ministries at 856-5644.

Looking forward to sharing Capital's history and vision with you!
