We had a wonderful time last Sunday believing God for
miracles. It was not meant to be a one
day focus. Let's keep pressing in for
all God has for us and make faith a daily exercise as we trust God for His
supernatural supply. We begin a week of
fasting and prayer on Monday that will culminate in a special prayer meeting at
6:00 p.m. on Saturday.. Join me in this
Transformation Challenge. Choose from
the following options:
- Fast
all meals
- Fast
two meals a day
- Fast
one meal a day
- Fast
an entertainment convenience - i.e. television, internet, magazines
When fasting, replace the time being fasted with the
spiritual pursuit of Bible reading, prayer, meditation, and journaling. Humbling ourselves by fasting releases the
Holy Spirit to do His special work of transformation in us. Fasting renews spiritual vision and reduces
the power of self so that the Holy Spirit can do a more lasting work.
During our fast, let's focus our prayers on these things:
- Reaching
Sacramento
with the good news of God's love
- Receiving
clear vision for our church from the Holy Spirit
- Physical
healing
- Personal
finances
- Corporate
finances to advance God's work
- Local,
State, National, and world leaders
- Family
life - marriage and children
- Personal
spiritual transformation
Don't forget to join us for the concluding prayer gathering
on Saturday, February 6 at 6:00 p.m.
I am looking forward to Sunday with much anticipation. We will make a new friend with our musical
guest, Steve Bell. Steve will be sharing
his life and music in the morning services and then a full concert Sunday
evening at 6:00 p.m. I'll be speaking on
the subject: Hungry for Greatness. It is
going to be a great day in God's presence!
Matthew 23:11-12
The greatest among you will be your servant. 12For
whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be
exalted.

Join us this Sunday, January 31, at 6pm for a special concert featuring
Steve Bell. Steve's solo concerts feature his award-winning song
writing and evocative tenor vocals, as well as his scintillating
finger-style acoustic guitar artistry and his captivating story
telling. No frills, nothing to hide behind - just the singer and the
songs, offered up in the unique way that only this artist can summon.

HIV / AIDS 101 Come talk HIV/AIDS with us. All of us are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS everyday without realizing it. There is so much misinformation and so many facts to be set straight. Come interact with health professionals who are experts in the field of HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care. Learn how HIV is spread, how it replicates, side effects, medication use, and disease progression. Hear personal accounts on living with HIV and how we all can care for those living positive. Can you help stop HIV/AIDS from its continual spread in our communities? If you're thinking this topic does not affect you; we need YOU there!

678 RETREAT "SURROUNDED"
678
presents the 2010 Youth Winter Retreat. We want students to join us for this
time of inspiration. Caleb D. Cole will
be bringing revelation and teaching from the Word. Coupled with a worship experience led by
Jordan Flower, we are expecting to be Surrounded. Hebrews 12:1 "We are
SURROUNDED by such a huge crowd of witnesses, to the life of faith; strip off
every weight that slows us down, run with endurance the race that God has set
before us." Surrounded will be held
February 26-28 at Jenness
Park. The cost will be
$150 (limited scholarships available). If interested in providing a student
with a scholarship or to sign up, visit the Ministries kiosk or contact Student
