Thank You Del Mar Rose Society & Winston School Students!
Since at least 2005, the Del Mar Rose Society has been bringing holiday cheer to Del Mar seniors in the form of beautiful rose arrangements the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Much like Santa's workshop, more than 20 helpers came together to create beautiful rose vase arrangements with locally grown roses. With just a quick break to enjoy a potluck dinner, these helpers worked late into the night, pruning, clipping and arranging. Handmade Thanksgiving cards contributed by students from The Winston School were the finishing touch! This year, Kristen and Dave Druker coordinated the event, with vases donated by Adelaide's of La Jolla. Thank you for bringing holiday cheer to our Del Mar seniors!

 In Gratitude
DMCC'S In-Home Connections Program held a beautiful Fall Luncheon on Friday, November 18, to unite all IHC members and volunteers in a festive setting as gratitude for supporting the program throughout the year. The number of members and volunteers has been increasing monthly and for this we are very grateful, especially to our dedicated volunteers who demonstrate regularly that their hearts are committed to our Del Mar seniors. Lynn Duoos, a volunteer for IHC, was kind enough to open her home for this occasion and we wish to thank her and her family, as well as Shirley King and Art Olson, Jimbo's in Del Mar, and Sprouts in Solana Beach for their generous offerings which made the day so special. Peter Walsh, a doctorate student at USC, provided the entertainment. It truly was a memorable afternoon, enjoyed by all.
