Don't Dump Dollars into the Doughnut Hole!
Learn How to Save on Prescription Drug Cost

If Medicare helps pay for your prescription drugs, you may wonder whether you'll fall into the Part D doughnut hole-the coverage gap in which you pay full price for your medicines.
AARP's online Doughnut Hole Calculator does the math and tells you. It also offers suggestions for reducing your costs so you can postpone hitting the gap or even avoid it entirely.  It may save you money!

What You Do:
Go to
www.aarp.org/doughnuthole
Type in your zip code
Select your Part D plan
List the medications you take routinely

The calculator works with all Part D plans and does not promote any particular plan. It doesn't require that you switch plans to save money.  It's quick-only takes about 15 minutes! You don't even have to register!  It's anonymous-you don't have to give your name or Medicare number and the privacy of your information is protected!
