Dear Friends and Neighbors,
We will all be avoiding the traffic during the week of June 9 to 15 when the U.S. Open is playing its course. There is one solution to the driving hassle. Ride our bus to go grocery shopping on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Enjoy the freedom from driving. We even help you to carry your groceries into the house. Just call the office to reserve 792-7565. Our annual Salad Potluck luncheon on June 10th is going to tempt you with the very chic clothes from Chico's. Our fashion models will show you how smart you can look this summer particularly if you have a furry companion at your side. The North County Humane Society will present several of their senior dogs that will be bejeweled with Dexter's Deli's fanciful costumes. Call the office to make your reservation. We will be starting in June our Matter of Balance classes, a fall prevention program. Falls are the leading cause of fatal injuries among San Diego seniors aged 65+ years. We are alarmed to learn from the County of San Diego, Emergency Medical Services that the rate of falls in 2006 for individuals aged 65 years and older was noticeably higher in the North Coastal Region of San Diego than in the other regions in San Diego. Call our office soon to sign up for these free classes. Until next month! Shirley King, President
