March 2010 Meeting
Lean, Theory of Constraints, Six Sigma Improvemnt System Location: BATC Brigham City Campus, 325 W 1100 S, Brigham City
Main Conference Room Date: March 11, 2010 Time: Dinner: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Scott Jensen is the President and CEO of Control-Point-Technologies. The author of several articles on the Continuous Improvement methods, Scott Jensen is recognized as one of Utah's foremost experts and implementers of the TOC body of knowledge and one of the nations chief promoters. With over 25 years of industry experience, Scott's career has been divided between management, teaching, and consulting roles. Now, in a teaching and consulting role at Weber State University and Control Point Technologies, Scott's areas of specialty include constraints management and lean manufacturing.
Many organizations struggle with their continuous improvement efforts. Achieving real bottom line results, whether in cost savings or increased revenues, has proven to be difficult. In spite of the widespread implementation of Lean and Six Sigma principles, poor results can persist. An integration of three methods, TOC, Lean, and Six Sigma (The TLS process) can generate 5 to 10 times better performance than Lean or Six Sigma alone. In this session, Scott will explain some of the reasons why, and how using these three synergistic methods together can transform your system into a competitive weapon! Don't miss this opportunity to learn what your Lean or Six Sigma initiatives might be missing.
Dinner and Meeting both (together): $15 per person Meeting alone: $10 per person Dinner: Fried Chicken, Cole Slaw, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Rolls, Drink.
RSVP by no later than March 9th.

Hello : |
Thank you to all of those that have been attending our monthly events. This year has seen the largest audiences for quite some time. Last month we had almost 40 people to our "Real-time SPC" with Joe DeSimone! I hope we'll see as many, if not more, at this month's event "Theory of Constraints" with Scott Jensen. It's in Brigham so it's not far for anyone. ½ hr down from Logan and 45 minutes up from Kaysville. This one's right off of I-15 so very easy to get to. And don't forget about the entry you'll get into the drawing for the trip to D.C.. The more events you attend, the more chances you have to win. Remember, when planning to come to an event, you MUST reserve and pay for your spot on our local website ( Golden Spike Web Site). This allows us to plan better for our food and venue. There will always be a registration form and Pay Now button on the calendar and neither takes very much time, but really helps those of us out that coordinate the events. If you haven't been to our website lately, now is a good time to check it out. This last year brought a complete revamp of the site, and now there's lots of information for everyone. We're always updating though so if there's something you would like to see added, let us know!
