REGIONAL DIRECTOR NOMINATIONS DUE JANUARY 4TH

It's time to nominate a Regional Director for our region.  Regional Directors are nominated every two years.  The Regional Director's primary role is to support the Section Member Leaders within that region by providing guidance, training, problem solving and assistance, as needed, by the section.  The Regional Director is responsible to ensure that sections are complying with the Section Operating Agreement on all levels.  This person is chosen to represent the section's needs at higher levels within ASQ.   Each section can nominate one person to this position.  If you are interested in being nominated, please contact Chris Hayes for official roles, responsibilities, and qualifications.

New Members

Welcome to our new members this month.
Letter from the Chair:

Hello  :

The first thing I'd like to do is welcome all of the many new members we've had since July.  This has got to be a record , at least for our section, because we gained 33 new members from July through October.  What an accomplishment!  Now, granted, most of these new members are a result of the certification classes we are holding, and we're glad that it was such a huge success.  What we need now is for some of you new members to join us at our monthly meetings.

If you aren't aware, the section holds monthly evening meetings (the second Thursday of the month), on a variety of topics in a variety of locations.  Some topics may be more interesting to you than others, but all will give you the benefit of networking with other quality professionals in other organizations.  That, in and of itself, is one of the premier opportunities you receive with your membership.   Not to mention the increased opportunity for winning the Washington DC trip you get when you come to meetings.

So, why not participate in your first meeting by joining us in December at our Christmas Party at Sparetime in Clearfield?  What better way to begin networking and enjoying all of the other benefits your membership provides.

Chris Hayes
, Chair.
November Meeting
This was the first meeting that I've been to where the presenter gave away a pretty good amount of cash.  I didn't count, but I think it was probably around $25 - $30.  Not too bad for a couple of hours of your time, good food, and good information.  In essence, Bob has created a method for paying down debt in the most effective and efficient way possible.  He shared some of these concepts with the audience giving tips and techniques for reducing debt as quickly as possible and not creating the debt in the first place.  Bob claims he's been credit card free for many years.  Where the rest of us found reasons why a person certainly has to have and use credit cards, Bob refuted them all.   Bob offers a free debt report to members which outlines the debt you currently have and how quickly you could eliminate that debt using his principals.  If you're interested, e-mail Bob at rdcosgrove@gmail.com.
